Pure Raw Honey

Seasonal, Varietal, Herbal Infused, and Naturally Granulated Honey.

Our honey is 100% pure, raw honey; never pasteurized or high-pressure filtered. This is important as it retains the enzymes, trace vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, antibacterial properties, and natural taste and aroma of the honey. We are committed to producing the finest quality chemical-free honey.

Local honey has the added benefit of reducing symptoms of allergies, as consuming traces of pollen in the honey may decrease the impact of airborne pollen.  We extract our honey three times during the year:  Late Spring, Mid-Summer, and in the Fall.  This allows for seasonal variations in the color and taste of the honey, bringing out distinct floral flavors and aromas that are representative of Central Ohio wildflowers.  Each season brings a different type of honey as the nectar flow changes.

Pure raw honey from the Deer Creek Valley of Pickaway County, Ohio. The bees have gathered nectar from a variety of wildflowers including Canadian thistle, wild blackberries, and clover in the Summer Honey, and goldenrod and asters in the Fall honey. Never pasteurized or high-pressure filtered, it retains all the trace vitamins, minerals, enzymes, flavors and aromas of fresh raw honey. The Summer honey has a delicate flavor that is sprightly sweet, yet mild. The Fall honey is more robust, with a rich butterscotch tone. This listing is for two 80 ounce (5 lb.) plastic jugs: one of our Summer Harvest Honey and one of our Fall Harvest Honey.

Honeyrun Farm produces pure, raw honey from Williamsport, Ohio. We are a small family farm and are committed to using no chemicals in our beehives. We harvest our honey seasonally – Spring, Summer, and Fall – to bring out the distinct floral flavors and aromas that are representative of Central Ohio wildflowers. All raw honey (honey fresh from the beehive) will granulate (get cloudy and thick) in time. This is natural, and does not mean the honey has "gone bad", as honey does not spoil. Simply heat the container in a hot pot of water to re-liquify. We recommend not heating it over 100 degrees to prevent the loss of flavor, enzymes, and nutritional benefits. Honeyrun Farm is special because you are buying honey directly from the beekeeper.
